Tarot Readings and Workshops
Tarot in its modern form is based on sets of 78 pictured cards developed in the late 19th and early 20th century, although its roots go back much further. The traditional cards point to a process of spiritual insight, development and personal growth. Consulting the tarot is an alternative way to get answers, insights and fresh perspectives.
Although tarot has developed to relate to spiritual principles it is mostly, but not exclusively, used as a divination tool that can assist us in making informed choices about everyday matters and our direction in life. Besides tarot readings I also give workshops to help you learn the basics of tarot yourself.
Card readings
** the readings I do at special locations (eg. in the park, shops or at parties) are differently priced and much shorter:
*** A full in-person reading is closed by a short cleansing and blessing, if the client is open to it, included in the charge.
1-hour basic reading in person or online | 65 Euro |
Couples reading (both people present) | 75 Euro |
Ancestors reading | 75 Euro |
Friends reading, two people, 30 minutes each |
80 Euro |
Invite me to your party or event to do readings for your guests or visitors. Fee in consultation
Basic intro tarot workshops
Learn the basics of tarot privately or in a group of friends or family:
– Private for 1 person
– In groups of 2, 3 or 4
A private workshop lasts around 3 hours, a workshop for multiple people longer. They are all interactive and include practicing.
Intro workshop major arcana | 300 euro total |
Intro workshop minor arcana | 300 euro total |
Intro workshop court cards | 300 euro total |
Dates, times, locations and prices are decided on together, in consultation.
- Each of these workshops is based on the Rider Waite cards – the most commonly used deck. These are the best cards for beginners. You will need your own cards to take part.
- It is recommended to follow these workshops in this order. But lots of people are also happy just learning about the major arcana, and possibly only going on to study the minor arcana and the court cards much later. This is completely fine.
Basic intro tarot major arcana workshop
See the link beloThe major arcana cards are or can be seen as archetypes, symbolizing universal human experiences and states of being.
The workshop starts with a short meditation and an explanation of the history and structure of the tarot. We then look at and discuss the 22 cards of the major arcana .
Because there are only a small number of people taking part there’s lots of space for personal attention, questions, explanations, etc. During the last hour you’ll practice doing a few short, simple spreads and reading the cards yourself. By the end of the workshop you should have a simple grasp of the cards of the major arcana and what it means to read the cards for yourself or someone else.
This site includes a brief description of the meanings of each of the tarot cards you can always refer to. See the link below.
Basic intro minor arcana workshop
The 40 minor arcana tarot cards represent more everyday experiences than the major arcana cards.
I start the minor arcana workshop with a brief meditation and then explain how the minor arcana is built up. We go through the 4 suits of pentacles, cups, swords and wands and the numbers ace to ten.
Because there’s are only a small number of people taking part there will be lots of space for personal attention, questions, explanations, etc.
During the last hour you’ll practice doing a few short, simple spreads and reading the cards yourself. If you’re familiar with the major arcana you may involve these cards too. By the end you should have a simple grasp of the minor arcana cards.
This site includes a brief description of each of the tarot cards you can always refer to. See the link below.
Basic intro court cards workshop
.More than the other tarot cards, the court cards represent actual people in your life. They could also signify yourself, or sometimes a group of people.
In the workshop we will look at and discuss the court cards in each suit (e.g. the page, knight, king and queen of wands), as well as the court cards of each type (e.g. the four queens). We will discuss each of their personalities, strengths and weaknesses, their advice and the messages they carry.
Because there are only a small number of people taking part there will be lots of space for personal attention, questions, explanations, etc.
During the last hour, with my help you’ll practice doing a few short, simple spreads with the court cards. We may also at some point involve the major arcana and/or minor arcana cards. By the end of the workshop you will have a better grasp of the court cards and will be able to continue to explore them yourself with more confidence.
